Beef

Beef joined the NLT team in 2022 as our Chief Feline Officer. His responsibilities include improving morale by being cute and making our employees take him on walks so he can smell everything. He is also responsible for quality checks on computers by sleeping on them. Beef’s role as CFO includes getting pets and treats from everyone he can. He also regularly meows at everyone over virtual meetings because he doesn’t understand why they aren't petting him.

Beef started as a stray picked up by a shelter, then by NLT Research Associate, Sara Santillanes. His background is in being cute, napping, and parkouring up the curtain. Currently, he is getting harness and leash certified.

One fun fact is that Beef is a local celebrity! All of the Starbucks baristas know him by name.
