Andres J. Cardenal has joined NLT as a Program Manager and Geographic Information Scientist to expand the company’s GEOINT services. He’ll leverage his expansive academic background and professional experience to provide support to the Intelligence Community through Geospatial Science and Analytics.
He served 8 years in the United States Army as a Senior Geospatial Engineer Sergeant and Civil Information Manager. He deployed to Afghanistan 2012 – 2013 to support the International Security Assistance Forces (ISAF) during Operation Enduring Freedom. He worked 4 years with Special Operations, Civil Affairs, where he became a subject matter expert in Civil Information Management. In addition to his experience in the Intelligence Community, he also worked as a Geospatial Analytics Consultant with several Real Estate firms in Miami, Florida, for 15 years.
Andres holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from Florida International University, a graduate certificate in advanced studies in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Denver, and two master’s degrees — one in Information & Communications Technology from University of Denver and another in Geographic Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University. He is both an NGA College and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Certified Geospatial Engineer. He holds professional certifications in the Fundamentals of GEOINT, Cartography, and Geospatial Database Management.
Andres intends to drive NLT to new unexplored ecosystems, in relation to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), in order to provide a modernized analytics environment to customers.
