Madeline specializes in geospatial hazard modeling. A geophysical data scientist with NLT, her work with the company includes assignments as the team lead with FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery and, previously, with the World Bank. Her geo work finds her analyzing and determining the impact of the disaster events on the communities and building infrastructure a performing image classification on satellite imagery.
She earned her master’s degree in geophysics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and relocated to Washington, D.C., to work for NLT. Madeline specializes in providing geospatial, remote sensing, modeling and analytical solutions where data science converges with natural hazards.
Not just content mapping the outdoors from above, Madeline often finds herself exploring new countries and hiking trails. She played volleyball in college, and actually made it to the professional league for a year after she graduated.
