A geophysical data scientist with NLT, her work with the company includes assignments as the team lead with FEMA’s Office of Response and Recovery and, previously, with the World Bank. Madeline specializes in geospatial hazard modeling. Her work finds her performing image classification on satellite imagery to determine the impact of the disaster events on communities and building infrastructure.
She earned her master’s degree in geophysics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and relocated to Washington, D.C., to work for NLT. Madeline specializes in providing geospatial, remote sensing, modeling and analytical solutions where data science converges with natural hazards.
Not just content mapping the outdoors from above, Madeline often finds herself exploring new countries and hiking trails. She also played volleyball in college, and actually made it to the professional league for a year after she graduated.
