Jonathon Brouse

Cloud Architect

Jon is a Cloud Architect with New Light Technologies (NLT). He works with several NLT clients, such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). He’s supporting several cloud migrations for FEMA, ensuring their business continuity through the transition as well as future migrations to cloud native solutions. For the USACE, he’s designing a system that ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and mission critical systems.

With an understanding that organizational communication impacts architecture, Jon takes pride in the practices he’s helped establish within the teams he’s joined, such as DevOps, Scrum, and lean software development. He’s worked in many different verticals — everything from clinical trials (Part 11, HIPAA, et. al.) to smart home technology to publishing and to e-commerce, to name a few.  His professional certifications include AWS Architect, AWS Security, and  GIAC Certified Incident Handler.

And, though he didn’t get “certified”, Jon’s even taken ballroom dancing lessons and has taken his moves to the stage.
