Position Title: Lead Data Scientist 

Location: Washington, DC Area 

Clearance: Current TS/SCI ISSA (FS Poly) required 

Experience: Advanced degree in related field preferred. Will accept lesser 

degrees with additional relevant experience. 

Salary: Negotiable based on commensurate experience and education. 

Position Description/Technical Skills: 

  • Provides advanced level geographic, social, economic, political, military, technical and/or environmental insight and guidance regarding specific countries or regions around the world to create innovative solutions to challenging problems.
  • Develops and/or consults on advanced methodological approaches, statistical and algorithmic analysis, and/or tailored software application support for studying these systems
  • Creates quantitative data analytics and models to represent human behavior as it relates to these systems
  • Identifies spatial and temporal patterns in event data

  • Technical understanding of the systems supporting aspects of the functional areas.
  • Knowledge of standard tools [e.g., the Agency Data Services Network (ADSN), iCE workstations, Microsoft Office, the Agency Internet Network (AIN), and the Microsoft Office software applications], as appropriate; and a demonstrated ability to learn to use and support other tools that may be added or developed as the program evolves.
  • Flexibility in assisting with ad hoc tasks and in adjusting as tasks are re-prioritized.
