Position Title: Geospatial Programmer

Location: Washington, DC Area

Clearance: Current TS/SCI ISSA (FS Poly) required

Salary: Negotiable based on commensurate experience and education.

Position Description: This position will support on-site programming and web-development to customize existing tools and create new tools for displaying, retrieving and analyzing geographic data in the web environment. Technical tasks shall include support and further development of an existing web viewer application in the Esri JavaScript API and other related technologies. Subcontractor will assist in the ingest of geospatial data including imagery, maps, charts, GIS feature data and integrated GIS data to web applications.The programmer will assist in building geospatial and statistical analysis tools that identify spatial and temporal patterns in event data, threat analysis, and the creation of fused products to support intelligence in a spatial context. 

Other Technical Skills:

  • Experience in the development, customization, and use of the full range of Esri GIS software products applied to intelligence analysis.
  • Experience using ArcObjects, Python, and other Esri-compatible programming languages.
  • Familiarity with open source geospatial tools.

  • Knowledge of standard tools [e.g., the Agency Data Services Network (ADSN), iCE workstations, Microsoft Office, the Agency Internet Network (AIN), and the Microsoft Office software applications], as appropriate; and a demonstrated ability to learn to use and support other tools that may be added or developed as the program evolves.
  • Flexibility in assisting with ad hoc tasks and in adjusting as tasks are re-prioritized.

Travel: Minimal CONUS travel may be required.
