We perform data discovery, integration, and development; remote sensing; advanced geocoding/geolocation; spatiotemporal modeling and visualization; and web-based and mobile GIS application development, among other things.
We provide crucial technical support to FEMA. You can find us in their Response Directorate, the National Response Coordination Center (NRCC), the Modeling and Data Working Group. We’re at the console during disasters developing integrated risk models, operational data products, and tools for hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, Improvised Nuclear Devices, (INDs), and a number of other hazards. We developed of the innovative Hurricane Incident Journal. This tool provides a platform for the rapid integration of disparate weather, environmental, infrastructure, demographic, and other data for real-time analytics to save the most lives as natural disasters hit the county.We developed the Area of Interest (AOI) Tasker to automatically identify and prioritize areas that require collection of satellite and aerial imagery, which was used for the first time during the 2018 hurricane and wildfire seasons.
We offer comprehensive Remote Sensing and imagery technology consulting services for multispectral and hyperspectral optical imagery and radar data, both here at home and abroad. NLT was the primary contractor to update the Washington, D.C., city government’s planimetric datasetb using aerial imagery. We’ve worked with the World Bank where we’ve measure land cover and land use changes in Laos and exploit satellite imagery to detect unregistered parcels and informal structures in Zambia.
